Victoria's First ever Climate Change Education Forum on 12 July 2019 brought together over 70 students, teachers and others from schools, government and industry to talk about our Climate Change Future.
The Forum was hosted by Sustainability Victoria and Deakin University. It aimed to explore the current state of Climate Change education in Victoria as we looked to creating a vision for the future of climate change education in the state.
"Knowledge will perhaps lead to change"
participant comment during a WorldCafe at the Climate Change Education Forum
We shared experiences, knowledge, hopes about Climate Change, heard from a range of industry representatives who talked about real action being taken right now, and spent time with a futurist to look at what sorts of activities we might engage in to empower individuals to take action at multiple levels in the community.
This website is designed to share the stories, ideas, comments and feedback captured during the day. The posts share the "raw" responses captured in answer to the questions posed during the day, including a series of world cafe conversations, and brainstorming future visions and empowered action with a futurist in the afternoon.
